For two decades, Juliet has vigorously pursued a diverse professional repertoire as college admissions counselor, CA credentialed teacher and high school principal. Her aggregate background has enhanced her abilities to convey complex academic content, and offer effective college consulting and college application essay coaching.
During the early 2000’s, Juliet earned a Bachelor’s degree at SDSU followed by a Master’s degree at George Mason University while working as a substitute teacher. After graduation, she relocated to Washington DC, where she mentored inner-city youth at Covenant House Washington.
Juliet joined Washington DC’s non-profit organization, National Organization on Disability, in 2006 as a program assistant to the Emergency Preparedness Initiate, a program that provides education and resources to people with disabilities as they prepare for natural disasters and medical emergencies.
In 2007, Juliet relocated to Taipei, Taiwan where she joined Berlitz as a business English teacher, TOEFL test prep instructor, and curriculum designer, which equipped K-12 and adult students with test-taking, and essay writing and editing skills.
After returning to the United States in 2009, Juliet earned a CA teaching credential at SDSU while serving as a student teacher at San Diego High School. In addition, she coached special needs students and worked as an SAT/ACT test prep for various non-profits.
Juliet has continued to support a diverse student demographic as a public classroom teacher in San Diego and Oakland CA. After she served a small Oakland charter school as a high school principal, Juliet returned to San Diego in 2014 and founded Hawk Educational Solutions Inc, which provides students with personalized academic and college counseling services. Beyond the classroom, Juliet has also published original short stories and poetry, contributed editorial pieces to local newspapers, and composed and performed original folk songs.
